Accessible Communications – Getting people back to work

Recently Wonder Works took part in a client workshop. A major challenge for the organisation was that the Accessibility Officers were based in various different locations and their clients would often visit the wrong location – having navigated a world that is not easy for some of them, what with wheelchair ramps being blocked, automatics doors not working, etc., etc.

The obvious solution is to centralise all of the Accessibility Officers. Wonder Works can’t restructure the organisation! But what we can do is use creative, accessible communications to ensure that the clients understand clearly who they need to see and where that person is. Accessible information; from contact details to maps, to wayfinding, all enhance the user experience regardless of ability and make large campuses more dynamic, effective and welcoming places. This is especially important in organisations that are trying to physically re-engage their staff in ‘the office’ or ‘on campus’, etc.

To ensure you are meeting your accessibility requirements, but also communicating in the most effective way possible, to the broadest audience possible; get in touch with Wonder Works.
